BO$$ CAMP’s two-day or one-day events provide inspiration from real entrepreneurs (hearing their education and career journeys), hands-on-experience (do what entrepreneurs do) and connections to pathways beyond (where to next, what further learning is needed for success).
BO$$ CAMP is delivered in a school or community environment and is a ‘taster’ experience of entrepreneurship. It provides young people and students who have not engaged with entrepreneurship and business education an opportunity to explore and experience this with their fellow students in the comfort of their school or community environment.
BO$$ CAMP has been utilised as a precursor to inspire students learning in VET subjects such as Micro-Business and Business Administration and activities such as Australian Business Week and E-Challenge.
Learning Outcomes:
- Find a product/service and customers – define what is unique about your product solution;
- Validate your assumptions, get feedback, change solution or the way you sell the solution;
- Make a decision to dump/flip/modify/refine the product – don’t bash your head on a brick wall;
- Communicate the key messages, present and sell the product/solution;
- Fail fast and move one – eliminate as much wasted time and energy as possible and have fun;
- Connect and find out about what is out there to help you with your next step.
BO$$ CAMP demonstrates the relevance of learning and education to our young people, it encourages collective impact and innovation to finding solutions for issues facing us as a state, country and society. BO$$ CAMP value adds to schools and education by providing a complementary and enriched learning experience to school, VET and university.
BO$$ CAMP is authentic. It has been developed by passionate, caring and real entrepreneurs to engage successful entrepreneurs and business people to ‘pay it forward’. In many communities BO$$ CAMP is a youth, community and economic development launch-pad that empowers young people to self-actualisation and self-determination.
